Police
escorted ride benefiting the animals of Miami Metro
Zoo. Enjoy a family day at the zoo!
The
2010 Ride!
It has
been 5
years
since the idea doing a ride to benefit the animals of
Miami Metro Zoo became a reality. Even though the
economy has had an impact on just about everything
this year’s ride showed increased participation from
just a year ago.
We had 106
vehicles do the police escorted ride from Betty’s Best
Burgers to Miami Metro Zoo. Motorcyclists and car
enthusiasts came together to support our cause.
Special thanks to the bike and car
clubs that participated: Cutler Cruisers, Liberty
Motorcycles, Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Palm
Beach Cruisers, Sunshine Corvette Club, MuscleStangs
of Miami, Renegade Corvette Club, Z Club, Horsepower
Nation an all the independents who joined us.
We can’t thank the Florida Highway
Patrol enough for their escort. This made our ride fun
and safe.
Once at the zoo, there were dozens
of family members of our riders waiting to join us. We
had 290 people attend
between registered family members and their families.
Our sponsors were there for us,
with Chris Durgen from The Shop being our Golden Lion
Sponsor. Sponsors pay for the tee shirts so that all
registration monies go to help the animals of the zoo.
The weather was excellent and everything went off
without a hitch.
Our thanks
to everyone that attended this year’s ride, and of
course our sponsors and the FHP. This ride could not
happen without all of you.
